The moment you step inside, you're greeted by the proprietor’s inviting smile, a reflection of the friendly atmosphere that makes Quan Cafe 51 a beloved spot among locals and travelers alike. As you settle in, the tranquil views from the café create the perfect backdrop for a leisurely dining experience.

Quan Cafe 51 specializes in offering an array of delightful dishes that cater to both the adventurous palate and those seeking comfort food. The star of the show is undoubtedly the banana pancakes – a must-try that has earned rave reviews for its unique crunch and sweet, rich flavor. Customers like Ronja (Tuulikki) have praised these pancakes as “amazing,” tunefully complemented by hearty pork and chicken noodles that echo the local culinary scene.

But the indulgence doesn’t stop there! Coffee lovers will find solace in their exceptional offerings, particularly the renowned salt coffee. As noted by R Duke, each sip is a revelation, making it a perfect companion to the café’s signature breakfast items. The complimentary tea upon arrival sets a thoughtful tone for your meal, ensuring you feel cherished from the get-go.

If you’re in the mood for something a little different, the egg coffee here is a delightful treat that can be customized to suit your dietary needs, as Erin Parcher-Wartes discovered on her visits. Each cup is crafted with care, delivering a uniquely rich flavor that perfectly balances sweetness with a touch of creaminess.

For a truly rejuvenating experience, pair your meal with the café's stunning views, ideal for unwinding after a day exploring the historic Imperial City. As Mailys Lopes shared, a visit for iced cocochocolate and a treat from the menu makes for a perfect pause amidst sightseeing.

Whether you’re craving a rich breakfast to fuel your day or just seeking a cozy spot to enjoy a good book over coffee, Quan Cafe 51 has you covered with charm and hospitality. Make sure to stop by when you’re in the area – your taste buds will thank you!

The lady owning the shop was so sweet and helpful. The banana pancakes were indeed amazing and pork/chicken noodles were great too! Super affordable place!

Was craving banana pancakes and this place lived up to its reputation. Unlike any banana pancake I’ve ever had—each bite better than the last. That crunch! Complimentary tea on arrival was a nice touch. The lady who served us was lovely. My salt coffee was phenomenal, and the tranquil view was a massive bonus for the morning coffee routine. I’d start every day here if I could.

Had 2 very tasty and rich breakfasts here. First was omelette with onion, next day banana pancake. Omg this pancake is fantastic! Gives you the energy to walk the Imperial city all around. Coffee is so good. Had regular black. And both days there was this super kind lady, i felt really welcomed there. Excellent!

I have now eaten at this cafe three times. I enjoyed it so much in January 2023, I made a point of returning in February 2024. I highly recommend stopping here for the noodle soups. However, the very special treat is the egg coffee. The proprietress even adapted the recipe for me to exclude the milk and it was delicious. Definitely will return if I am ever again in Hue.

We had an egg coffee and an iced coco-chocolate. Both were very delicious. They offered ice tea as well. The view was gorgeous. Perfect for a rest after visiting the citadel.

Stopped to have a quick coffee before getting on the road. The salt coffee had a perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness, and my partner's egg coffee was pleasantly light, and tasted a bit more homestyle than some of the thicker versions we've had. All in all, highly recommended for a quick coffee (or not-so-quick, as is the cultural norm here) if you're in transit through the Imperial City area!

Delicious. We came here very early in the morning (around 6.00) and it was already busy. The owner was very confused about us (two very tired, with big backpacks, backpackers) but she was so kind. She gave us the best service and tried to help us with our plans for in the city. So kind. The cafe was small but cozy with also a lot of locals. There was a lot to choose from and the food was very good. Apparently they are very proud of their banana pancakes, so you should really try! Conclusion: cute

The best banana pancake and salt coffee I’ve ever had!! The owners were so lovely and gave us some great recommendations for sightseeing in Hue. Definitely stop at this cafe if you are visiting the Imperial City.
